Medan,- Wakil Ketua DPRD Medan H.Rajudin Sagala S.Pd.I meyakini kehadiran Pertauran Daerah (Perda) Nomor 10 tahun 2017 tentang Pengawasan Serta Jaminan Produk Halal dan Higienis akan mempu meningkatkan kualitas dan daya saing produk di pasaran
Hal tersebut disampaikan politisi Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS) Kota Medan saat menyampaikan materi sosialisasi produk hukum daerah ke IV tahun 2024, Perda Nomor 10 tahun 2017 tentang Pengawasan Serta Jaminan Produk Halal dan Higienis yang dilaksanakan di Jala Karya Dalam, Kelurahan Karang Berombak, Kecamatan Medan Barat, Ahad (28/04/2024).
“Selain bertujuan untuk menjaga kenyamanan dan keamanan seluruh warga kota Medan dari produk yang dapat membahayakan kesehatan, sesungguhnya Perda ini akan mampu meningkatkan kualitan dan daya saing produk di pasaran,” katanya.
Dewasa ini, kata Rajudin Produk yang halal dan higienis sangat dan banyak diminati oleh masyarakat kebanyakan. “Masyarakat kini semakin paham, mana produk yang baik untuk dikonsumsi bagi keluarga mereka. Nah, dengan implementasi Perda ini di lapangan maka produk-produk yang dihasilkan dan dijual ke masyarakat tentunya harus mengikuti peraturan yang ada,” katanya.
Untuk itulah pihaknya mendorong Pemko Medan melakukan pengawasan yang maksimal di masyarakat. “Pengawasan berkala terhadap produk-produk yang beredar di masyarakat harus dilakukan secara berkala. Hal ini penting, agar tidak ada celah bagi para pelaku yang mencoba melakukan kecurangan dan tindakan yang bisa menimbulkan masalah besar dikemudian hari,” harapnya.
Diuraikannya, Perda No 10 Tahun 2017 tentang Pengawasan serta jaminan produk halal dan higienis terdiri XII BAB dan 21 Pasal.
Seperti dalam BAB II Pasal 3 disebutkan, pengawasan serta jaminan produk halal bertujuan memberikan kenyamanan, keamanan, perlindungan, keselamatan dan kepastian hukum ketersediaan produk halal dan higienis bagi masyarakat dan mengkomsumsi produk.
Dalam BAB III pada Pasal 4 disebutkan, pengawasan serta jaminan produk halal dan higienis yang dilaksanakan Pemko Medan setiap saat secara terencana dan sistematis dengan membentuk Tim Terpadu. Tim dimaksud terdiri, Pemko Medan, Balai POM, MUI, unsur masyarakat serta instansi/badan maupun lembaga lainnya.
BAB VII tentang Kewajiban pada Pasal 15, setiap pelaku usaha wajib berproduksi halal dan higienis. Mencantumkan informasi dan label halal tidaknya produk dengan jelas dan terang. Memisahkan barang dagangan yang halal dengan yang tidak halal serta mencantumkan masa berlaku produk dagangan.
