Solo, -Apotek Alpro, jaringan apotek resep terbesar di Malaysia, menandatangani Nota Kesepahaman (MoU) dengan 21 universitas lokal yang dipimpin oleh Asosiasi Perguruan Tinggi Farmasi Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah (APTFMA) pada acara penandatanganan yang diadakan di Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, pada Sabtu, 29 Juni 2024 lalu.
Data dari database Komite Farmasi Nasional pada 2019 menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia hanya memiliki 2,85 apoteker per 10.000 penduduk, jauh lebih rendah dari rata-rata aritmatika global sebesar 7,36 apoteker per 10.000 penduduk pada 2016. Meskipun jumlah lulusan farmasi meningkat setiap tahun, kepadatan apoteker di Indonesia tetap sangat rendah. MoU ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi kesenjangan ini dengan meningkatkan pendidikan farmasi dan memberikan lebih banyak peluang lapangan bagi lulusan farmasi di Indonesia.
Apoteker Dr. Erindyah Retno W (Ph.D), Ketua APTFMA, berkomentar, “MoU ini merupakan tonggak penting dalam upaya kami untuk meningkatkan pendidikan farmasi di Indonesia. Dengan berkolaborasi dengan Apotek Alpro dan universitas-universitas yang berpartisipasi, kami dapat menawarkan kepada mahasiswa kami pengalaman industri internasional yang berharga, serta peluang untuk mengembangkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan mereka, baik secara akademis maupun profesional.”
Apoteker Lee Yin Chen, Chief Executive Officer Apotek Alpro Indonesia, menyatakan, “Kami berterima kasih kepada APTMA dan universitas-universitas atas kesempatan kolaborasi ini. Di Malaysia, kami telah bekerja sama dengan 20 universitas lokal untuk menyediakan beasiswa dan pelatihan Apoteker Terdaftar Sementara (PRP), kami berharap dapat berbagi pengalaman kami untuk membina dan mempersiapkan generasi apoteker berikutnya di Indonesia.”
Selain itu, Apotek Alpro bekerja sama dengan jaringan apotek lokal terkemuka untuk mengelola lebih dari 200 gerai apotek mereka di Indonesia. Langkah strategis ini akan membantu Apotek Alpro membawa keahlian dan standar perawatan farmasi yang tinggi kepada khalayak yang lebih luas, sehingga berkontribusi lebih lanjut pada peningkatan layanan kesehatan di negara ini.
