Medan – Adanya Isu miring, berita bohong, ujaran kebencian dan lain sebagainya tentu sangat mudah disebarluaskan dan dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat khususnya ditengah gempuran arus informasi yang sangat deras. Bahkan dewasa ini masyarakat dinilai kesulitan untuk membedakan berita yang benar dan berita bohong atau hoax.
Menyikapi hal tersebut sudah seyogianya kita bijak dalam menggunakan media sosial dan mengkonsumsi berita yang sedang tersebar. Salah satu isu yang baru baru ini terdengar adalah kaitannya dengan oknum petugas Rumah tahanan negara kelas I Medan yang melakukan pungutan liar terhadap usulan pembebasan bersyarat kepada wargabinaan.
Berita tersebut termuat disalah satu media sosial dan disebarluaskan kepada masyarakat. Menindaklanjuti hal tersebut Rutan kelas I Medan segera melakukan penyelidikan dan pemeriksaan terhadap oknum yang bersangkutan guna mencari kebenaran dan fakta yang sebenarnya.
Selain melakukan pemeriksaan kepada yang bersangkutan Kepala Rutan beserta kepala seksi pelayanan tahanan dan jajaran juga bergerak aktif untuk menggali informasi dari wargabinaan terkait berita adanya pungutan liar terhadap usulan integrasi khususnya usulan pembebasan bersyarat melalui proses tanya jawab dan ramah tamah
Dalam penyelidikan dan pemeriksaan yang dilakukan oleh Rutan Kelas I Medan ternyata tidak ditemukan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan pungutan liar baik dalam usulan integrasi maupun seluruh layanan lainnya. Pada kesempatan yang berbeda saat dikonfirmasi oleh awak media, kepala Rutan juga menyampaikan bahwa dirinya menjamin seluruh layanan bagi wargabinaan dan masyarakat adalah gratis, tanpa pungutanan dan tidak pandang bulu. “ mau usulan layanan integrasi, PB, CB, CMB, Remisi, layanan bantuan hukum, layanan Kesehatan, layanan kunjungan bagi masyarakat semua gratis yah pak, dan kita samakan semua layanannya” Nimrot Sihotang
Beliau sangat menyayangkan berita bohong terkait pungutan liar yang beredar di media sosial, Harapannya masyarakat dapat bijak dalam menyebarluaskan berita, jangan sampai ada berita yang merugikan salah satu pihak sehingga menimbulkan kegaduhan di tengah-tengah masyarakat.(Gs/Mdn).
