Medan,-Tim Panelis Penilaian Kinerja Pelaksanaan 8 Aksi Konvergensi Penurunan Stunting Provinsi Sumatera Utara mengapresiasi Pemko Medan di bawah kepemimpinan Wali Kota Medan Bobby Nasution, atas upaya-upaya yang dilakukan selama ini dalam mengatasi persoalan gagal tumbuh pada anak di Kota Medan.
Hal ini terungkap saat Bobby Nasution mengikuti Penilaian Kinerja Pelaksanaan 8 Aksi Konvergensi Penurunan Stunting Kota Medan Tahun 2023 dari Command Center Balai Kota Medan, Kamis (16/5). Dalam proses penilaian itu, Bobby Nasution turut didampingi Wakil Wali Kota Medan H Aulia Rachman, Kepala Bappeda Benny Iskandar serta pimpinan perangkat daerah terkait di lingkungan Pemko Medan.
Sebelum menjawab sejumlah pertanyaan dari panelis yang berasal dari ragam profesi, Bobby Nasution terlebih dahulu memaparkan gambaran umum Kota Medan. Kemudian, menampilkan data tren prevalensi stunting di Kota Medan Tahun 2021-2024.
Data tersebut menunjukkan terjadinya penurunan angka stunting dari tahun 2021 dengan angka 19,9 persen. Kemudian, di tahun 2022 turun menjadi 15,4 persen dan di tahun 2023 turun lagi menjadi 5,8 persen.
“Kami berkomitmen untuk menurunkan angka stunting di Kota Medan. Selain inovasi-inovasi yang dilakukan dari jajaran kewilayahan, kami juga menghadirkan program Bapak Asuh Anak Stunting (BAAS) Kota Medan yang melibatkan para pimpinan perangkat daerah dan Forkopimda,” kata Bobby Nasution.
Selanjutnya, Bobby Nasution juga menyampaikan ragam inovasi dari perangkat daerah dan kewilayahan. “Kami juga mengucapkan Terima kasih kepada tim panelis atas saran dan masukan yang diberikan kepada Pemko Medan. Semoga upaya-upaya bersama kita ini bisa membawa Medan bebas stunting,” harapnya.
Sementara itu, Tim Percepatan Penurunan Stunting (TPPS) Sumatera Utara menyampaikan apresiasi atas upaya Pemko Medan dalam menurunkan stunting. “Kami apresiasi kerja kerasnya. Ini juga menunjukkan bukti jika Pemko Medan memang memiliki komitmen untuk menangani persoalan ini di wilayahnya,” ujar salah seorang panelis yang juga akan melakukan penilaian bagi kabupaten/kota lain di Provinsi Sumatera Utara.
