London,-Son Heung-min dipastikan absen pada laga babak keempat Piala Liga Inggris kontra Manchester City, di Stadion Tottenham Hotspur, Kamis (31/10/2024) dini hari WIB. Hal itu diungkapkan Pelatih Tottenham Hotspur Angelos Postecoglu.
“Kondisi Sonny (panggilan Son, red) sebenarnya hampir bugar, tetapi kami menargetkannya untuk tampil pada akhir pekan ini. Kami yakin dia akan baik-baik saja,” ujar Postecoglu, dikutip dari laman resmi Tottenham Hotspu, Selasa (29/10/2024).
Son Heung-min hanya bermain satu kali pada enam laga terakhir Tottenham Hotspur di semua kompetisi karena cedera otot paha. Terakhir kali dia berlaga untuk Tottenham adalah saat melawan West Ham United di Liga Inggris, Sabtu (19/10/2024).
Postecoglu menginginkan Son bisa bermain saat menghadapi Aston Villa pada pertandingan pekan kesepuluh Liga Inggris, Minggu (3/11/2024). Tottenham membutuhkan Son demi mempertajam lini serang.
Tottenham Hotspur kini menempati posisi kedelapan klasemen sementara Liga Inggris dengan 13 poin dari sembilan pertandingan. Sementara Aston Villa kini di peringkat keempat klasemen liga dengan 18 poin dari sembilan laga.
