Medan,-Wali Kota Medan Bobby Nasution terus mendorong kecamatan untuk menurunkan angka prevalensi stunting di wilayah masing-masing. Menindaklanjuti dorongan ini, Camat Medan Selayang Muhammad Husnul Hafiz Rambe berupaya mengembangkan kolaborasi dan berinovasi. Rabu (15/5) bersama Ketua TP PKK Medan Selayang Syamsiah Hafiz Rambe dan pengurus memantau perkembangan anak warga ini dinyatakan sembuh dari stunting di Kelurahan PB Selayang II, Lingkungan 11, Gang Pelawi.
“Hari ini kita memantau perkembangan Ayumi Nur Azizah, anak warga kita yang telah dinyatakan sembuh dari stunting. Kita tetap memantau selama setahun ini. Setelah benar-benar bebas dari stunting maka akan kita keluarkan dari data stunting,” ujar Hafiz di sela-sela kunjungan tersebut.
Dalam kunjungan itu, Hafiz bersama segenap pengurus TP PKK dan Koordinator KB Medan Selayang Murtini memberikan makanan tambahan kepada Ayumi dan bahan kebutuhan pokok, antara lain beras khusus, susu, telur, daging, dan ikan. Pemberian makanan tambahan dan bahan kebutuhan pokok ini, terangnya, merupakan program Medan Selayang Peduli Anak Stunting (Dayang Linting).
“Dalam program ini, kita berkolaborasi dengan stakeholders dalam penanganan anak stunting di wilayah Kecamatan Medan Selayang,” ungkapnya, seraya menambahkan pihaknya juga mengembangkan program Gerakan Rumah Ibadah Peduli Anak Stunting. “Gerakan ini melibatkan rumah ibadah dalam penanganan stunting di wilayah.”
Selain itu, lanjutnya, pihaknya juga mengembangkan program Kebun Gizi yang dijalankan di kelurahan-kelurahan Kecamatan Medan Selayang. Hafiz mengatakan, hasil kebun ini diberikan kepada keluarga yang memiliki anak stunting. Di samping itu di Kelurahan Sempakata juga dibudidayakan tanaman kunyit jepang yang menjadi bahan jamu kesehatan. Jamu ini, sebutnya, terbukti dapat menaikkan berat tubuh anak penderita stunting.
Berbagai upaya ini, lanjutnya, terbukti bisa menurunkan angka stunting di wilayah Medan Selayang. Dia merincikan, pada 2022 jumlah anak penderita stunting di wilayahnya sebanyak 32, kemudian pada 2023 turun menjadi 21. Dan per April 2024 turun lagi menjadi 16 anak.
Ayumi Nur Azizah (4 tahun), salah seorang anak di Kecamatan Medan Selayang yang dinyatakan sembuh dari stunting.
“Waktu itu saya ke Posyandu Mawar di Kelurahan PB Selayang II untuk memeriksa kesehatan Ayumi. Waktu itu setelah menimbang dan mengukur tubuh anak saya, petugas dari Pemko Medan menyatakan Ayumi stunting,” terangnya.
Ayu kaget, namun petugas Posyandu dari Pemko Medan memberikan penjelasan dan memasukkan anaknya ke data penderita stunting. Selanjutnya, Pemko Medan pun memberikan penanganan terhadap Ayumi yang waktu itu berusia tiga tahun.
“Pemko Medan melalui Kecamatan memberikan perhatian, memberikan makanan tambahan, daging, telur, beras, bahkan uang,” ujar Ayu seraya menyebutkan pemberian makanan tambahan dan bahan kebutuhan pokok ini diberikan pihak kecamatan dua minggu sekali.
Selain memberikan makanan tambahan dan kebutuhan pokok, tambah Ayu, Pemko Medan terus memantau kesehatan Ayu. “Mereka datang ke rumah kami langsung untuk memeriksa tumbuh kembang Ayumi.”
Dengan perhatian yang serius dari Pemko Medan, anaknya pun dinyatakan sembuh. “Saya berterima kasih banyak kepada Pemko yang telah menyembuhkankan anak saya dari stunting.”
Ketua TP PKK Medan Selayang, Syamsiah Hafiz Rambe, yang turut dalam kunjungan itu mengatakan, pihaknya memang rutin berkunjung ke keluarga yang mempunyai anak stunting maupun baru sembuh dari stunting gunaa memberikan makanan tambahan dan bahan kebutuhan pokok.
“Kami bekerja sama dengan kecamatan untuk menurunkan angka stunting di Kecamatan ini. Bersama Koordinator KB di Medan Selayang, kami juga ikut memantau setiap lingkungan untuk mengetahui keberadaan anak yang rawan maupun terkena stunting,” ungkapnya.
Di tempat sama, Koordinator KB Kecamatan Medan Selayang, Murtini mengatakan, berkoordinasi dengan pihak Puskesmas dalam penanganan anak stunting.
“Kita rutin memeriksa dan mengevaluasi perkembangan anak stunting. Selain itu kita juga memberikan pelatihan kepada pendamping keluarga agar terampil dalam tugasnya pencegahan dan penanganan stunting,” ucapnya seraya menyebutkan sasaran penanganan yakni calon pengantin, ibu hamil, ibu nifas, dan bayi dua tahun.
