Jakarta,-Presiden Joko Widodo akan melantik Kepala Staf TNI AD yang baru, di Istana Negara, Rabu (29/11/2023). Kandidatnya diantaranya Letjen Suharyanto, Letjen I Nyoman Cantiasa, dan Letjen Maruli Simanjuntak.
“Hari ini, tepatnya Rabu, 29 November 2023, pukul 14.00 WIB. Dijadwalkan pelantikan Kepala Staf Angkatan Darat oleh Presiden di Istana Negara,” ujar Koordinator Staf Khusus Presiden Joko Widodo, Ari Dwipayana, dalam pesan singkat ysng diterima wartawan pada Rabu (29/11/2023) pagi.
Posisi KSAD kosong setelah Jendral Agus Subiyanto dipilih dan dilantik menjadi Panglima TNI. Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR) sebelumnya pernah menyampaikan tiga nama bakal calon KSAD yang digadang-gadang menggantikan Jenderal Agus Subiyanto.
Ketua Komisi I DPR Meutya Hafid mengatakan, ketiga kandidat tersebut berpeluang besar. Karena mereka merupakan jendral bintang tiga yang terbilang mumpuni.
Bahkan, Presiden pun membenarkan bahwa salah satu nama kandidat berpeluang menjadi KSAD. “Ya, betul,” kata Presiden singkat.
