Padang,-Gunung Marapi, di Sumatra Barat (Sumbar) mengalami erupsi, Minggu (3/12/2023). Petugas Pos Pengamatan Gunung Marapi, Ahmad Rifandi membenarkan telah terjadi erupsi Gunung Marapi. Erupsi tercatat pada pukul 14.53 WIB.
“Ketinggian kolom abu tidak teramati karena tertutup awan. Untuk radius erupsi masih di 3 kilometer, status masih waspada,” ucapnya, Minggu (3/12/2023).
Masyarakat diharapkan tidak mendekati wilayah rawan terdampak erupsi. Jika keluar rumah masyarakat diminta menggunakan topi, kaca mata, jaket, serta masker karena ada hujan abu yang terbawa angin.
“Perkiraan abu erupsi ini mengarah ke wilayah Lasi, Candung, Kabupaten Agam. Kalau beraktivitas ke luar rumah harap hati-hati,” ucapnya.
Sementara itu, Novelhya Wirda, warga Bukik Batabuah, Ampek Angkek, Candung, Kabupaten Agam menceritakan, terjadi hujan abu pukul 15.00 WIB. Material abu berupa kerikil.
“Saya kira hujan di atap rumah. Tapi saya lihat keluar rumah ternyata seperti kerikil hitam. Bau belerang sangat kuat,” ujarnya.
Novel menambahkan, sebelum hujan abu ada gempa yang dirasakan selama dua kali. Lalu disusul bunyi gemuruh.
Setelah itu barulah hujan abu turun. Saat ini warga memilih bertahan di rumah karena cemas jika ke luar justru bisa berbahaya bagi keselamatan diri.(dna/rri)
