Mdrid,-Timnas Spanyol U-17 resmi merilis 21 pemain yang akan tampil pada Piala Dunia U-17 2023 di Indonesia. La Roja dihuni sejumlah pemain belia potensial termasuk Marc Guiu yang baru saja mencetak gol bersama tim senior Barcelona di Liga Spanyol.
Spanyol menjadi salah satu tim yang telah mengumumkan 21 pemain untuk Piala Dunia U-17 2023. Adapun turnamen kelompok umur paling bergengsi di dunia itu akan diselenggarakan di Indonesia pada 10 November sampai dengan 2 Desember 2023.
Dari daftar itu, diketahui Barcelona menjadi klub paling banyak (8 pemain) penyumbang pemain Timnas Spanyol U-17. Termasuk Marc Guiu yang sudah menembus tim senior Barcelona dan jadi pahlawan kemenangan anak asuh Xavi lawan Athletic Bilbao pada pekan ke-10 Liga Spanyol, Senin (23/10/2023) lalu.
Sosok Marc Guiu kini sudah mulai dibicarakan banyak pihak, tak terkecuali di Indonesia. Guiu pun bakal semakin bersinar jika mampu membawa Spanyol U-17 menjadi juara Piala Dunia U-17 2023 nanti.
Namun, bintang muda Barcelona lainnya, yakni Lamine Yamal, dipastikan tidak akan tampil di Indonesia. Federasi Sepak Bola Spanyol (RFEF) dan pihak Barcelona dikabarkan sepakat untuk tidak melibatkan Lamine Yamal pada Piala Dunia U-17 2023 di Indonesia.
Meski begitu, masih ada nama-nama pemain yang telah menembus tim senior Barcelona lainnya, seperti Pau Cubarsi, Hector Fort, dan Marc Bernal. Sementara Real Madrid menyumbang empat pemain dalam daftar ini, satu di antaranya adalah Roberto Martin Uruel.
Di Piala Dunia U-17 2023 Spanyol berada di Grup B bersama Kanada, Mali, dan Uzbekistan. Seluruh pertandingan Grup B akan berlangsung di Stadion Manahan, Solo, Jawa Tengah.
Datang ke Piala Dunia U-17 2023 dengan status semifinalis Piala Eropa U-17 2023, Spanyol optimistis bisa meraih gelar juara. Sejauh ini Spanyol belum pernah jadi juara meski telah lima kali menjadu runner-up.
