Mandalika,-Merek Pertamina dipastikan akan tetap menjadi sponsor utama nama Sirkuit Mandalika di Lombok Tengah, Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB). Bahkan hingga gelaran MotoGP tahun 2026 mendatang.
“Memang kontraknya akan habis di Desember 2024. Tapi Insya Allah akan diperpanjang 2025-2026,” kata Chairman MotoGP Mandalika Troy Reza Warokka di Sirkuit Mandalika, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, NTB, Sabtu (28/9/2024).
Troy mengatakan, selain terikat kontrak dengan ITDC, Pertamina juga terikat kontrak dengan Dorna Sport di MotoGP. “Semoga ini terus berjalan dan kami rasa Pertamina untuk Indonesia jangan pernah diragukan,” ucapnya.
Menurutnya, dengan perpanjangan kontrak ini maka nama Pertamina tetap menjadi nama Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit. “Artinya penamaan Sirkuit Mandalika membawa kebanggaan merek lokal di pentas dunia,” ujarnya.
“Bahkan, boleh di bilang tahun ini berbeda. Merek Pertamina cukup dominan di Sirkuit Mandalika,” ucap Troy Waroka.
Diketahui Sirkuit Internasional Pertamina Mandalika adalah sebuah sirkuit balap yang terletak di Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) Mandalika di Lombok Tengah. Sirkuit dengan panjang lintasan 4,31 kilometer dan 17 tikungan ini memiliki kelas homologasi kelas A dari FIM.
Direktur Mandalika Grand Prix Assosiation (MGPA) Priandhi Satria menyatakan Sirkuit Pertamina Mandalika, lolos homologasi dengan Grade A dari Federasi Motor Internasional (FIM). “Artinya ajang MotoGP Indonesia 27-29 September 2024 telah bisa digelar,” kata Direktur MGPA Priandhi Satria.
Ia mengatakan hasil homologasi diperoleh setelah dilakukan inspeksi lintasan sejak Kamis (26/9) oleh FIM, Dorna Sports selaku penyelenggara. Hingga para pembalap MotoGP, moto3 dan Moto2 serta dari Ikatan Motor Indonesia.
