Belawan- Dalam kurun waktu 18 hari, pihak Polres Pelabuhan Belawan beserta Polsek jajaran telah berhasil mengungkap kasus tindak pidana umum dan penyalahgunaan narkoba.
Dari tangan para tersangka, polisi mengamankan barang bukti yang digunakan dalam melakukan aksi kejahatan, serta 24,15 gram narkoba jenis sabu yang disita dari para pengedar dan bandar.
Demikian keterangan yang disampaikan Kapolres Pelabuhan Belawan AKBP Josua Tampubolon SH saat memimpin pers release pengungkapan kasus kejahatan dihalaman Mako Polres Pelabuhan Belawan dan dihadiri Danramil Belawan, Camat Belawan, Wakil Ketua MUI serta Kapolsek jajaran, Senin (4/12/2023).
Selain itu, Polres Pelabuhan Belawan juga berhasil membongkar sindikat perdagangan orang dengan modus dinikahi, lalu korban dibawa ke luar negeri.
Dari keterangan yang diperoleh, para tersangka mengaku telah berulangkali melakukan aksinya.
Kapolres Pelabuhan Belawan menghimbau kepada masyarakat agar waspada dan bekerjasama dengan kepolisian untuk membongkar sindikat perdagangan orang tersebut. Karena dari hasil penyelidikan, pihaknya meyakini masih ada lagi korban yang belum melapor.
“Dengan mengubah identitas calon korban, para tersangka dengan leluasa menikahkan dengan warga asing asal RRC,” jelas Kapolres.
Untuk itu, Kapolres meminta kepada masyarakat yang mendapati kasus serupa agar segera menginformasikan ke pihak kepolisian.
Diakhir keterangan nya, Kapolres Pelabuhan Belawan AKBP Josua Tampubolon SH MH menghimbau kepada seluruh masyarakat agar secara bersama-sama melaksanakan pemilu damai menjaga kamtibmas di wilayah Medan Utara khususnya menuju pesta demokrasi Pemilu 2024 yang sudah didepan mata.(Gs/Blw).
