Jakarta,- Menteri Perhubungan (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi mengusulkan kebijakan Work From Home (WFH/bekerja dari rumah) pada pekan depan. Hal ini untuk mengurai potensi kemacetan kendaraan pada arus balik mudik Lebaran 2024.
Kebijakan WFH dianggap penting lantaran waktu yang tersedia untuk arus balik terbilang lebih sempit ketimbang arus mudik. Diharapkan, WFH bisa memberikan ruang lebih leluasa kepada pemudik kembali ke Jakarta.
“Arus balik itu terjadi pada Minggu dan Senin, karena Senin itu terakhir libur. Kita melihat bahwa waktunya ini sangat pendek dibanding (arus) mudik,” kata Menhub Budi, di Jakarta, Rabu (10/4/2024).
Budi mengaku, akan menyampaikan usulan WFH ini kepada Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Direncanakan dalam waktu dekat, antara 11-12 April 2024.
“Kita ingin, melakukan manajemen lalu lintas agar ini akan lebih rileks. Kita akan mengusulkan ke Pak Presiden untuk work from home di hari Selasa dan Rabu,” katanya.
Diharqpkan, usulannya ini akan disetujui oleh Presiden. Dengan begitu, ada keleluasaan pekerjaan yang bisa dilakukan dari jarak jauh.
“Ini baru didiskusikan, diusulkan, mudah-mudahan Presiden setuju. Kalau berhasil, berarti bisa bekerja secara online dari tempatnya masing-masing,” ujarnya.
