Jakarta,- Timnas Mali U-17 sukses merebut peringkat ketiga Piala Dunia U-17 2023. Les Aigles (julukan Timnas Mali) menang telak 3-0 atas Argentina U-17 di Stadion Manahan, Solo, Jumat (1/12/2023) malam WIB.
Mali tampil lebih agresif sejak menit awal, dominasi serangan Mali membuat Argentina sibuk bertahan di wilayah sendiri. Pada menit keenam, Mali nyaris cetak gol cepat melalui aksi Hamidou Makalou, namun tembakannya masih melenceng.
Serangan Mali akhirnya berbuah manis di menit kesembilan lewat aksi individu ciamik Ibrahim Diarra. Tembakan kaki kiri Diarra bersarang di pojok kiri gawang Argentina yang membuat Mali unggul 1-0.
Gol ini membuat Mali makin bergairah menekan pertahanan lawan. Sekou Kane nyaris menggandakan keunggulan melalui tembakan terukur dari luar kotak penalti, sayang bola masih membentur tiang kanan.
Hujan mengguyur stadion Manahan tak membuat permainan kedua tim terhambat. Mali lebih banyak peluang, sedangkan Argentina punya peluang emas lewat Agustin Ruberto tapi masih bisa diblok kiper Mali di menit ke-22.
Serangan beruntun Mali akhirnya membuahkan hasil pada menit ke-45. Mamadou Doumbia mencatatkan namanya di papan skor setelah menerima umpan tendangan bebas Hamidou Makalou.
Gol tersebut sekaligus menutup laga paruh pertama. Les Aigles unggul sementara 2-0 atas Argentina.
Di babak kedua, Mali kian tak terbendung, tak butuh waktu lama bagi Les Aigles muda untuk menambah keunggulan. Hamidou Makalou sukses membobol gawang Florenti di menit ke-48 lewat aksi ciamiknya di depan gawang untuk membawa Mali unggul 3-0.
Mali nyaris menambah gol keempat mereka lewat tendangan bebas di menit ke-72. Laju bola membentur keras tiang atas gawang Argentina dari kaki Hamidou Makalou.
Argentina gagal mengembangkan permainan sehingga tidak ada gol balasan tercipta. Alhasil, Mali mampu mengalahkan Argentina dengan skor telak 3-0.
Dengan kemenangan ini, Mali U-17 berhasil mengamankan juara tiga Piala Dunia U-17 2023. Ini pertama kalinya Mali meraih juara tiga di ajang Piala Dunia U-17.
