Jakarta,- Prancis dikepung tiga pemburu juara baru di semifinal Piala Dunia U-17 2023. Argentina, Jerman, dan Mali belum pernah juara di ajang ini, sedangkan Prancis pernah sekali sukses pada 2001.
Semifinal Piala Dunia U-17 edisi kali ini menghadirkan pertandingan Argentina vs Jerman dan Prancis vs Mali. Laga akan berlangsung pada Rabu (28/11/2023).
Argentina dan Jerman kendati persepakbolaan negara itu memiliki nama besar, tetapi belum pernah sekalipun tampil sebagai juara. Prestasi terbaik mereka baru masuk empat besar.
Jerman sekali menjadi peringkat kedua pada Piala Dunia U-17 1985. Ketika itu di final Jerman kalah dari Nigeria.
Argentina malah prestasi terbaiknya hanya menjadi peringkat ketiga, sebanyak tiga kali. Masing-masing pada 1991, 1995, dan 2003.
Mali sama seperti Jerman, pernah satu kali menjadi peringkat kedua. Momen itu terjadi pada 2015 ketika di final kalah dari Nigeria.
Lantas, apakah di Piala Dunia U-17 2023 Indonesia ini akan muncul juara baru? Atau sebaliknya Prancis mampu menambah jumlah koleksi juara? Kita tunggu saja.
