Jakarta,-Timnas Prancis U-17 mengunci tiket 16 besar Piala Dunia U-17 2023. Les Blues dipastikan lolos dari Grup E usai mengalahkan Korea Selatan U-17 1-0 di Jakarta International Stadium, Rabu (15/11/2023) malam WIB.
Prancis tampil menyerang sejak awal babak pertama. Laga baru berjalan dua menit, Les Blues langsung mampu memecah kebuntuan.
Berawal dari situasi sepak pojok, umpan Ismail Bouneb disambut Mathis Amogou dengan manis. Penjaga gawang Korea Selatan, Hong Seong-min tak berkutik menahan derasnya bola.
Korea baru mampu memberi perlawanan pada menit 20. Namun tembakan Kim Myeong-jun masih dihalau penjaga gawang Prancis, Mathys Niflore.
Wasit hanya memberi tambahan waktu dua menit untuk injury time. Skor 1-0 untuk Prancis pun bertahan hingga babak pertama usai.
Tertinggal, Korea Selatan mencoba mengambil inisiatif serangan di awal babak kedua. Je Ho Woon mengancam pada menit ke-69 memanfaatkan bola liar di depan kotak penalti, namun masih ditangkap Mathys Niflore.
Korea Selatan melancarkan beberapa ancaman berbahaya di pengujung laga namun masih bisa dipatahkan. Prancis pun berhasil mempertahankan keunggulan 1-0.
Kemenangan ini memastikan Prancis lolos ke babak 16 besar Piala Dunia U-17 2023. Les Blues meraup hasil sempurna, dua kemenangan dengan raihan enam poin.
Amerika Serikat juga lolos ke babak gugur dengan poin yang sama. Mereka hanya kalah selisih gol dari Prancis di posisi kedua.
Jumlah poin Prancis dan Amerika Serikat sudah lagi tak terkejar dua tim lainnya. Korea Selatan dan Burkina Faso sama-sama belum meraih angka pada dua laga awal.
