Medan,-Tewasnya seorang pekerja proyek pembangunan drainase di Kota Medan mendapatkan perhatian serius dari DPRD Medan. Komisi IV DPRD Kota Medan mengaku sangat menyayangkan tewasnya seorang pekerja dan luka-lukanya tiga pekerja lainnya karena kelalaian akibat tidak menggunakan alat Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) saat bekerja.
“Sungguh sangat kita sayangkan adanya pekerja yang tewas akibat kecelakaan kerja pembangunan drainase di Kota Medan. Mirisnya kecelakaan itu terjadi karena kelalaian, yaitu karena tidak menggunakan alat K3,” ucap Anggota Komisi IV DPRD Medan, Dedy Aksyari Nasution ST, Senin (9/10/2023).
Dikatakan Dedy, dengan adanya kejadian ini, Pemko Medan melalui Dinas Sumber Daya Air Bina Marga dan Bina Konstruksi (SDABMBK) harus lebih selektif untuk memilih kontraktor dan memastikan semua kontraktor agar mengikuti prosedur kerja sesuai SOP.
“Dengan kejadian ini, kita meminta agar kedepannya Pemko Medan harus memastikan semua kontraktor yang mengerjakan seluruh proyek Pemko Medan agar mengikuti prosedur kerja. Semua kontraktor harus bekerja sesuai SOP, jangan ada lagi kejadian seperti ini. Ini kelalaian yang sangat merugikan,” ujar politisi Gerindra tersebut.
Untuk itu, Dedy meminta agar Dinas SDABMBK Kota Medan dapat memberikan evaluasi kepada para kontraktor yang lalai karena tidak menggunakan alat K3 saat bekerja. Pasalnya, kelalaian kontraktor dalam menerapkan prosedur kerja telah mencoreng nama baik proyek pekerjaan yang dilakukan Pemko Medan.
“Harus ada evaluasi kepada kontraktor yang lalai seperti itu. Kita tidak mau karena kelalain kontraktor, proyek pembangunan yang dilakukan Pemko Medan dinilai buruk oleh masyarakat. Padahal proyek pembangunan drainase ini sangat penting dan bermanfaat bagi masyarakat,” pungkasnya.
Sebelumnya diberitakan, satu pekerja proyek berinisial DL tewas tertimpa crane saat pengerjaan proyek drainase di Jalan Selamat Ujung, Kecamatan Medan Amplas. Tidak hanya DL, tiga pekerja proyek pembangunan drainase ini pun juga didapati luka-luka akibat kecelakaan kerja ini.
Menurut saksi mata di lokasi, peristiwa itu terjadi pada Rabu (4/10/2023) sekira pukul 17.00 WIB. Saat itu saksi mata juga mendengarkan suara sesuatu benda terjatuh yang sangat keras.
Belakangan diketahui, ternyata ada seorang pekerja proyek tewas dan tiga lainnya luka.
