Demikian disampaikan Wali Kota Medan Bobby Nasution melalui sambutan tertulis yang dibacakan Kabag Kesra Setdako, Abu Kosim, pada Safari Subuh Pemko Medan di Masjid Muslimin, Kelurahan Pasar
Merah Timur Kecamatan Medan Area, Selasa (7/11).
“Moderasi beragama bukan berarti menihilkan agama demi mengejar dunia, melainkan menyeimbangkan agama dengan dunia, agar keduanya bisa berjalan dengan harmonis,” ujarnya di hadapan jamaah masjid yang berlokasi di Jalan Gedung Arca Gang Jawa Nomor 3 itu.
Hal yang perlu dilakukan, lanjutnya, menjaga keseimbangan antara hak beragama dengan kewajiban berbangsa dan bernegara yang dimulai dari lingkungan masjid.
Menurutnya, moderasi beragama ini menjadi cara pandang, cara bersikap dan implementasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang mampu untuk membangun kehidupan dengan prinsip adil dan berimbang.
“Jika hal ini mampu kita terapkan saat ini, insya Allah kehidupan Indonesia di tahun 2045 akan menjadi negara yang semakin harmonis, damai dan toleran,” ungkapnya.
Dalam kesempatan itu Kosim mengatakan, melalui kegiatan Safari Subuh, Pemko melaksanakan komitmen menjadikan Medan sebagai pusat peradaban Islam di Sumatera Utara.
“Berbagai upaya telah kami lakukan seperti pembangunan Medan Islamic Center, Masjid Mandiri hingga Safari Subuh seperti saat ini,” ujarnya seraya menambahkan, safari subuh ini juga menjadi salah satu upaya yang selaras untuk mendukung pembangunan Masjid Mandiri di daerah ini.
Pada kegiatan ini, Kosim mewakili Wali Kota menyerahkan bantuan Pemko Medan sebesar Rp 50 juta untuk kemakmuran masjid kepada BKM Muslimin.
Sejumlah bantuan juga diberikan, antara lain bantuan sosial senilai Rp10 juta, akte pendirian koperasi, dua unit gerobak usaha dan rak buku lengkap dengan buku.

After I originally commented I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now whenever a comment is added I recieve 4 emails with the same comment. Perhaps there is a way you can remove me from that service? Many thanks.
