Surakarta,-Pelatih Timnas Jerman U-17, Christian Wueck, antusias menjelang final Piala Dunia U-17 2023 melawan Timnas Prancis U-17. Laga ini akan berlangsung di Stadion Manahan, Solo, Sabtu (2/12/2023) pukul 19.00 WIB.
Christian Wueck menyebut partai final ini memiliki keunikannya tersendiri selain Jerman dan Prancis sama-sama dari Eropa. Mereka sebelumnya juga berjumpa pada final Piala Eropa U-17 2023 pada Juni 2023 di Hungaria.
“Ini menjadi pengalaman yang sangat menarik bagi kami. Sebab, kami bisa bermain kembali melawan Prancis setelah menghadapi mereka dalam beberapa bulan sebelumnya,” kata Christian Wueck dalam sesi konferensi pers jelang pertandingan, Jumat (1/12/2023).
“Selain itu, akan ada dua tim asal Eropa yang hadir di partai final Piala Dunia U-17 2023 di Indonesia. Hal ini memang tak diduga sebelumnya, dan menjadi permainan tingkat tinggi di turnamen ini,” ucapnya.
Juru taktik berusia 50 tahun itu menyadari pertemuan kali ini bakal berlangsung lebih ketat. Apalagi, Prancis bakal bersemangat membalas kekalahannya pada final Piala Eropa U-17 2023.
Christian juga menegaskan kesiapan timnya meraih gelar pertamanya demi mengukir sejarah di kejuaraan ini. Jika terwujud, Jerman menjadi negara Eropa pertama yang mampu mengawinkan gelar Piala Eropa U-17 dan Piala Dunia U-17.
“Kami sudah berhasil mencapai tahap terakhir di turnamen ini, karena itu kami ingin memenangkan kejuaraan ini. Kami berdua sudah pernah berjumpa di final, dan kini kembali berjumpa laga di final,” ujarnya.
“Tentu saja kami ingin memenangkan turnamen ini agar bisa tercatat dalam sejarah. Kami tahu kami bisa melakukannya, kami harus menantikan apa saja yang akan terjadi,” katanya.
