Manchester,- Erling Haaland mengalami cedera saat membela Norwegia melawan Kepulauan Faroe, Jumat (17/11/2023). Cedera ini membuat Haaland terancam absen saat Manchester City menghadapi Liverpool di Liga Inggris.
Haaland cedera saat Norwegia menjamu Kepulauan Faroe pada Kualifikasi Euro 2024 di Ullevaal Stadium. Penyerang Man City ini mengalami cedera kaki usai mendarat dalam posisi kurang baik ketika berusaha menjangkau umpan.
Menurut dokter timnas Norwegia Ola Sand, Haaland tidak akan absen terlalu lama karena cedera ini. Namun, Sand juga belum bisa memastikan 100 persen dan harus melihat perkembangannya.
“Ia mengalami sedikit cedera di pergelangan kakinya, di mana ia sedikit rentan. Kita lihat besok bagaimana keadaannya,” kata Sand dilansir dari Sky Sports, Minggu (19/11/2023).
Pemain berusia 23 tahun itu akan memulai pemulihan cederanya. Haaland diharapkan bisa masuk skuad untuk pertandingan City melawan Liverpool di Stadion Etihad, Sabtu (25/11/2023).
Kabar cederanya Erling Haaland itu jelas bukan kabar yang diinginkan oleh Manchester City. Sebab, mereka sudah kehilangan sejumlah pemainnya.
Sebelumnya, Ederson, Nathan Ake, Mateo Kovacic, dan Matheus Nunes. Mereka tumbang sat membela negaranya.
Mereka menyusul tiga pemain City lainnya yakni Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, dan Sergio Gomez. Dengan demikian ada potensi City tak akan diperkuat delapan pemainnya saat melawan Liverpool.
