Anak asuh Shin Tae-yong berani tampil menyerang sejak awal babak pertama. Pada menit ke-14, Garuda Muda mendapatkan peluang, tapi tendangan keras Rafael masih bisa ditangkap kiper lawan.
Sampai akhirnya, Indonesia mendapat hadiah penalti di menit ke-23. Rafael Struick dilanggar Amer Jamous di kotak penalti.
Marselino maju menjadi eksekutor, dan bisa mengecoh kiper Juaidi. Skor berubah menjadi 1-0 untuk keunggulan Garuda Muda.
Witan Sulaeman mencetak gol untuk menggandakan keunggulan di menit ke-40. Kombinasi satu-dua Marselino dengan Rizky Ridho mampu diselesaikan oleh Witan dengan ‘placing’ indah yang merobek gawang Yordania.
Setelah itu, kedua tim saling jual beli serangan di penghujung babak pertama, tapi tak ada gol tambahan tercipta. Indonesia untuk sementara unggul 2-0 atas Yordania di babak pertama.
Di babak kedua, Indonesia bisa menambah gol lagi menjadi 3-0. Marselino mencetak gol ketiga ke gawang Yordania di menit ke-70.
Lewat serangan cepat, Marselino mendapat operan Witan ke kotak penalti dan bisa memenangi duel dengan Juaidi. Marselino lebih cepat menyontek bola, dan mengirimnya masuk ke gawang Yordania.
Justin Hubner mencetak gol bunuh diri dan mengubah skor menjadi 3-1 pada menit ke-78. Sepakan Waseem Wasef Alriyalat mengenai Justin Hubner, dan berbelok masuk ke gawang sendiri.
Komang Teguh yang masuk dari bangku cadangan mampu memperlebar keunggulan Indonesia pada menit ke-86. Memanfaatkan lemparan ke dalam Pratama Arhan, sundulan Komang meluncur mulus ke gawang Yordania.
Wasit memberikan tambahan waktu 10 menit, tapi kedua tim tak mencetak gol tambahan. Indonesia berhasil meraih kemenangan dengan skor 4-1 atas Yordania pada laga kali ini.
Kemenangan ini membuat Indonesia memastikan diri lolos ke perempat final Piala Asia U-23 2024. Garuda Muda menemani Qatar lolos dari Grup A sebagai runner-up berkat torehan enam poin dari dua laga.
