Asahan—Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (BKSDA) Provinsi Sumatera Utara melakukan survei ke lokasi tempat yang diisukan munculnya buaya anjung marbulit di kawasan sungai Asahan Dusun V Desa Gunung Melayu, Kecamatan Rahuning, Kabupaten Asahan, Senin (23/10/23).
Tim BKSDA Sumatera Utara yang dipimpin FA Harahap bersama Camat Rahuning Muhammad Yasir SH, dan masyarakat turun ke lokasi yang kerap munculnya buaya dan berkeliaran di sekitar sungai Asahan, yang lokasinya berdekatan dengan pemukiman penduduk Dusun V Desa Gunung Melayu.
Kepala Desa Gunung Melayu Syaiful Amri yang dikonfirmasi wartawan melalui Via WhatsApp telah membenarkan, sejak sepekan lalu masyarakat dihebohkan munculnya buaya di sungai Asahan, sehingga membuat masyarakat resah, takut dan khawatir untuk beraktivitas.
” Tim BKSDA Provinsi Sumatera Utara tadi siang sudah turun survey, untuk melakukan penangkapan dengan lebih dulu dipancing ” terang Kades, Senin (23/10/23).
Senada yang disampaikan Camat Rahuning Muhammad Yasir SH, diperoleh informasi dari masyarakat ada muncul seekor buaya di aliran sungai Asahan. Atas dasar itu Pemerintah Kecamatan Rahuning berkoordinasi dengan BKSDA Provinsi Sumatera Utara yang selanjutnya survey ke lokasi untuk melakukan penangkapan buaya tersebut.
“ BKSDA tadi siang sudah survey, dititik-titik lokasi ditemukan di pasir tapak yang dipastikan tapak buaya. Besok (Selasa, 24/10) mulai dipasang perangkap dan dilakukan pemancingan dulu ” ungkap Camat Yasir.
Camat Rahuning menghimbau kepada masyarakat, agar tetap berhati-hati dan waspada, terutama bagi masyarakat yang tinggal Dusun V Desa Gunung Melayu kawasan titi putih yang menggunakan air sungai Asahan untuk mandi dan mencuci . ”Jangan dulu melakukan aktivitas di aliran sungai Asahan, sebelum buaya itu tertangkap ”Pungkasnya Camat Yasir.
