Jakarta,- Timnas Argentina U-17 memastikan diri ke semifinal Piala Dunia U-17 2023 usai menghajar Brasil U-17 3-0 di Jakarta International Stadium, Jumat (24/11/2023) malam WIB. Claudio Echeverri menjadi bintang pada pertandingan kali ini dengan mencetak tiga gol (hattrick) untuk Tim Tango.
Sepak mula laga Brasil U-17 vs Argentina U-17 tertunda selama sekitar 30 menit akibat hujan lebat yang mengguyur area Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). Hujan deras ini menyebabkan rumput stadion tergenang air.
Pihak panitia pertandingan langsung menurunkan sejumlah orang untuk membuang air keluar lapangan. Usaha itu akhirnya membuahkan hasil dan pertandingan bisa dimulai.
Kedua tim langsung bermain lepas sejak awal babak pertama dan menampilkan intensitas laga yang cukup tinggi dengan saling jual dan beli serangan. Pada menit ke-15, La Selecao hampir unggul atas Argentina, namun sepakan Rayan masih tipis di samping gawang tim lawan.
Tim asuhan Diego Placente mulai menggempur pertahanan Brasil memasuki menit ke-20. La Albiceleste berhasil memecahkan kebuntuan berkat gol Claudio Echeverri pada menit ke-28.
Echeverri melakukan solo run dari area pertahanan sendiri, sebelum memasuki area Brasil dan melepaskan tembakan dari luar kotak penalti. Argentina memimpin 1-0 hingga turun minum.
Alih-alih cetak gol balasan, gawang Brasil kembali kebobolan di babak kedua. Echeverri jadi momok bagi penjaga gawang Phillipe Gabriel.
Kali ini dia menyambut umpan Acuna, sebelum menceploskan bola melewati kiper Brasil Phillipe Gabriel. Argentina memimpin 2-0.
Echeverri melengkapi penampilan gemilangnya dengan mencetak gol ketiga (hattrick) di menit ke-71. Bomber 17 tahun ini berlari mengejar umpan Ruberto dan menaklukkan Gabriel dalam situasi satu lawan satu.
Brasil mencoba memperkecil ketertinggalan di sisa waktu yang ada, tapi upaya mereka tak ada yang membuahkan hasil. Laga tuntas untuk kemenangan Argentina 3-0.
Hasil ini memastikan Argentina lolos ke babak semifinal Piala Dunia U-17 2023 dan akan menghadapi Jerman yang melaju usai menaklukkan Spanyol 1-0. Laga ini akan berlangsung di Stadion Manahan, Solo, pada Selasa (28/11/2023).
