Medan,-Keluarga korban kebakaran yang terjadi di Jalan Nabung Surbakti, Kecamatan Kabanjahe, Kabupaten Karo, menyerahkan seluruhnya proses penyelidikannya kepada Polda Sumut.
“Kami yakin Polda Sumut dan Polres Karo dapat mengungkap kasus kebakaran yang dialami beberapa waktu lalu,” ujar orang tua korban, Selasa (2/7/2024).
“Pihak keluarga menyerahkan sepenuhnya proses penyelidikan kepada polisi. Semoga kasus ini secepatnya dapat terungkap,” terang wanita paruh baya tersebut.
Sebelumnya, Kapolda Sumatera Utara, Komjen Pol Agung Setya Imam Effendi, telah mengunjungi keluarga korban di Kabupaten Karo, pada Minggu (30/6) lalu.
Kunjungan di rumah orang tua korban itu bertemu langsung dengan anak kandung korban atas nama Eva Pasaribu sebagai bentuk empati dari Kapolda Sumut terhadap keluarga yang terkena musibah.
“Kami turut berduka cita atas musibah ini. Semoga keluarga yang ditinggalkan diberikan ketabahan dan kekuatan,” ungkap Kapoldasu didampingi Dir Reskrimum Kombes Pol Sumaryono, Kabid Humas Kombes Pol Hadi Wahyudi, dan Kabid Labfor AKBP Dr Ungkap Siahaan.
“Polda Sumut pasti mampu membuat terang kejadian kebakaran yang saat ini masih dalam penyelidikan,” tegas Komjen Pol Agung Setya Imam Effendi.
Pada kesempatan itu, anak korban, Eva Pasaribu, mengucapkan terima kasih atas perhatian dan bantuan yang diberikan oleh Kapolda Sumut. “Kami sekeluarga menyerahkan semua proses ini kepada polisi untuk menanganinya,” terangnya.
Untuk diketahui, kebakaran itu terjadi pada Kamis 27 Juni 2024 sekira Pukul 03.30 WIB dini hari. Selain menewaskan Sempurna Pasaribu, juga merenggut nyawa, istrinya Efprida Br Ginting (48), anaknya SP (12) dan cucunya LS (3).
