Jakarta,-Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) mencatat 3.354 kejadian bencana melanda Indonesia sejak Januari hingga November 2023. Jika dirata-rata maka ada 10 hingga 12 kejadian bencana setiap hari.
“Sejak 2023 mengalami kenaikan menjadi 3.354 kali bencana. Jika dirata-ratakan per hari ada sekitar 10 sampai 12 kali bencana,” kata Kepala BNPB, Letjen TNI Suharyanto dalam keterangan resminya, Senin (20/11/2023).
Lebih lanjut, Suharyanto menyebutkan data kejadian bencana yang pernah terjadi dalam kurun waktu tiga tahun terakhir. Sebanyak 2.340 kejadian bencana pada 2021 dan 3.128 kali bencana terjadi di 2022.
“Dampak yang ditimbulkan dari bencana justru mengalami penurunan dari tahun ke tahun. Lantaran adanya pencegahan dan mitigasi semua pihak,” ujarnya.
Menurut Suharyanto, semua jenis bencana ada di Indonesia. Mulai dari bencana geologi dan vulkanologi, hidrometeorologi kering, hidrometeorologi basah, kemudian bencana non alam.
“Di satu sisi bangga tinggal di Indonesia yang terkenal akan kekayaan melimpah dan sumber daya alam yang luar biasa. Di sisi lain kita tinggal di daerah rawan bencana,” kata Suharyanto, menutu
