Pelatih Timnas U-17 Jerman, Christian Wuck, berambisi mengawinkan dua gelar juara Euro U-17 2023 dan Piala Dunia U-17 2023. Ini setelah Jerman lolos ke final usai mengalahkan Argentina di semifinal.
KebJakarta,-erhasilan Jerman melenggang ke partai puncak diraih secara dramatis. Mereka 4-2 lewat adu penalti di Stadion Manahan, Solo, Selasa (28/11/2023), setelah sebelumnya bermain imbang 3-3 di waktu normal.
Dua gol ‘Die Mannschaft’ pada pertandingan ini dicetak Paris Brunner. Adapun satu gol lainnya diukir Max Moerstedt. Di kubu ‘La Albiceleste’ tiga gol diborong Agustin Ruberto.
Kesuksesan ini membuka peluang Jerman untuk mengawinkan dua gelar juara pada tahun yang sama. Sebab, mereka lolos ke Piala Dunia U-17 2023 ini dengan status sebagai kampiun Euro U-17 2023.
“Tentu saja kami akan sangat senang jika bisa memenangkan kedua kejuaraan ini. Tentu tujuan kami datang ke sini untuk menang, siapapun lawannya di final, kami berharap bisa menang,” kata Wuck dalam sesi konferensi pers seusai pertandingan, Selasa (28/11/2023).
“Sejauh ini, kami juga belum pernah merasakan kekalahan dari pertandingan awal hingga semifinal. Saya yakin para pemain sudah bersiap dengan sangat baik untuk bisa menjuarai Piala Dunia U-17 2023,” ujarnya
Selain itu, Wuck menyoroti kerja keras para pemainnya. Menurutnya, kunci utama bisa memenangkan laga ini ialah keberanian para pemain untuk mengubah gaya bermain pada babak kedua.
“Luar biasa, saya turut bahagia untuk para pemain, terutama karena mereka tampil kurang baik sepanjang babak pertama. Kami menetak gol melalui serangan balik dan kemudian dibalas,” katanya.
“Kami tidak melakukan tekel-tekel dan para pemain Argentina mampu mengembangkan permainan mereka. Ini jelas hal yang tak kami inginka, tapi kami menunjukkan kekuatan yang sebenarnya pada babak kedua,” ujar Wueck
“Kami bertahan dengan tangguh dan jauh lebih agresif daripada pemain lawan. Itulah sebabnya saya merasa bangga, karena pemain mengubah permainan mereka, berani, dan menyadari bahwa ada kesempatan untuk meraih kesuksesan di sini,” ia melanjutkan.
