Medan,-Camat, Lurah, Kepala Lingkungan (Kepling), Babinsa, dan Bhabinkamtibmas se-Kota Medan mengikuti Rapat Koordinasi Ketentraman dan Ketertiban Umum, Selasa (23/1) di MICC. Rapat yang ini dibuka oleh Wali Kota Medan Bobby Nasution ini guna mewujudkan situasi kondusif di Kota Medan menjelang Pemilu dan Pemilihan Kepala Daerah Serentak Tahun 2024.
“Kita harus bisa mengajak masyarakat dapat ke TPS pada 14 Februari nanti untuk mengggunakan hak pilihnya,” ujar Bobby Nasution dalam kegiatan yang turut dihadiri antara lain Dandim 0201 Kolonel Inf. Ferry Muzawwad, Kapolrestabes Medan Kombes. Pol. Teddy Jhon Sahala Marbun, Kapolres Pelabuhan Belawan AKBP Janton Silaban, Sekda Wiriya Alrahman, Ketua KPU Medan Mutia Atiqah, Asisten Pemerintahan dan Kesejahteraan Rakyat Muhammad Sofyan, Kadis Komunikasi dan Informatika Arrahmaan Pane, Kasatpol PP Rakhmat Adisyah Putra Harahap.
Bobby Nasution mengatakan, Medan pernah memecahkan rekor sebagai kota dengan partisipasi pemilih yang paling rendah di Indonesia. Hal ini, lanjutnya, harus menjadi perhatian bersama agar kondisi ini tidak terulang lagi.
Wali Kota menyebutkan, Kamis (8/2) dan Jumat (9/2) merupakan hari libur. Begitu juga Sabtu (10/2) dan Minggu (11/2). Senin (12/2) dan Selasa (13/2) mulai masuk bekerja dan Rabu (14/2) hari pemungutan suara.
Bobby Nasution mengingatkan, biasanya masyarakat yang memiliki ekonomi berlebih memanfaatkan hari libur panjang ini untuk berlibur. Karena itu, dia mengharapkan agar segenap lapisan merasa terus diingatkan agar menggunakan hak pilihnya.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Wali Kota mengimbau semua pihak, termasuk aparat pemerintahan, kepolisian, TNI, tokoh masyarakat dan seluruh elemen masyarakat bersinergi dalam upaya menjaga situasi kondusif di Kota Medan.
“Saya juga mengajak masyarakat untuk aktif melaporkan setiap potensi ancaman atau kejadian yang dapat mengganggu ketentraman,” tambahnya.
Bobby Nasution juga menginstruksikan jajaran pemerintahan untuk memberikan informasi akurat dan terkini kepada masyarakat terkait proses pemilihan umum dan pemilihan kepala daerah serentak.
“Dengan begitu, dapat dicegah penyebaran informasi tidak benar dan meminimalisir potensi konflik,” ungkapnya.
Kabag Pemerintahan Setdako Medan, Subhan melaporkan kegiatan ini diiikuti sebanyak 2.475 peserta yang terdiri atas dari Camat, Lurah, Kepala Lingkungan, Babinsa, dan Bhabinkamtibmas se-Kota Medan.
Dia mengatakan, tujuan kegiatan ini untuk mewujudkan situasi yang kondusif menjelang pemilihan umum dan pemilihan kepala daerah secara serentak tahun 2024, memastikan pelaksanaan pemilihan umum berjalan dengan aman, tertib dan lancar, dan mencegah terjadinya konflik dan kerusuhan selama pelaksanaan pemilihan umum.
Di samping itu, lanjutnya, kegiatan ini untuk menjamin keamanan dan perlindungan bagi seluruh peserta pemilu termasuk calon, tim kampanye dan pemilih, memastikan adanya penegakan hukum yang berkeadilan dan transparan dalam menangani pelanggaran yang terjadi selama pelaksanaan pemilihan umum, mengantisipasi potensi ancaman keamanan yang dapat mengganggu proses pemilihan umum.
“Selain itu, rapat koordinasi ini juga bermaksud untuk membangun kerjasama antara aparatur pemerintah, aparat keamanan, penyelenggara pemilu dan masyarakat dalam menjaga ketertiban umum, serta menciptakan situasi yang kondusif dan aman selama pelaksanaan pemilihan umum, sehingga proses demokrasi dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan hasilnya dapat diterima oleh semua pihak,” tutupnya.
Rapat koordinasi ini berlangsung sehari. Bertindak sebagai narasumber dalam rapat ini Dandim 0201 Medan, Kapolrestabes Medan, Kapolres Pelabuhan Belawan, Kasatpol PP Medan. Keempat narasumber ini menekankan pentingnya kebersamaan dalam menjaga situasi kondusif Kota Medan, termasuk menjelang Pemilu dan Pemilihan Kepala Daerah Tahun 2024.
